Hands-On Parenting "HOP"

HOP was developed through the Parent Centre. Each course is co-facilitated by two Auxiliary Social Workers under supervision of a Social Worker.  

Hands-On Parenting aims to give parents and caregivers programme the tools to:
- Understand their child
- Listening to their child
- Positive discipline
- How to talking about sexuality
- Child abuse, substance abuse

The curriculum consists of 11 sessions of two hours including graduation.

Teen Parenting Programme 


The Teen Parenting Programme is aimed at youths aged 14-21 (male or female) who are parents or caregivers. They are taught positive parenting and life skills such as listening, discipline and self-esteem.

The programme is implemented by two Auxiliary Social Workers under supervision of a Social Worker and are trained by the Parent Centre. The curriculum consists of 18 sessions, 2 evaluation sessions, and 2 administrative sessions.
