Nurturing Safety, Building Futures
Mpilonhles’s Child Protection Programme (CPP) is a one-week camp that put youths who have survived acts of sexual abuse, in contact with support and counseling resources.
Child Protection Programme Camps
Mpilonhle organises one-week camps specifically for boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 who have survived sexual abuse. Throughout these camps, the children are provided with specialised counselling and emotional support from experienced Social Workers and Psychologists, creating a safe and nurturing environment for healing and recovery.
Collaborating Care Providers
Care is provided in collaboration with the Department of Social Development (DSD), Mqedi Community Care Centre, Thuthuzela Care Centre, Lifeline, SANCA, Msawenkosi Children’s Home, Empangeni Child Welfare, Ikhayalethu Shelter, and Lifeline Zululand.
Social Service Additional Training
Mpilonhle offers comprehensive additional training sessions to Social Service Practitioners from the Department of Social Development (DSD) as well as partnering non-governmental organisations. These sessions focus on the specific subject materials relevant to the care and support of vulnerable children.
The purpose of this training is to ensure that practitioners are thoroughly prepared and well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective support to the children and to actively assist throughout the counselling process.
