Soon after the revamp Mpilonhle proudly launched the newly upgraded computer lab for Sigidisabathembu Primary School in the rural community of uMnambithi, a significant milestone in our mission to bridge the digital divide in underserved schools.
The Mpilonhle management team, together with representatives from the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI), made the journey to uMnambithi to officially open the space. The event was attended by local school teachers and principals, district and circuit managers, and other members of the community, all of whom play a vital role in shaping the future of education in the area.
During the launch, Mpilonhle presented an overview of the lab, its purpose, and the broader vision of the computer-assisted learning programme. Attendees were given a live demonstration of how the system works, with students showcasing the interactive digital platform in real time.
The response from the audience was overwhelmingly positive. In short, heartfelt speeches, guests shared their excitement, gratitude, and deep appreciation for this initiative, with many expressing hope that similar labs will soon reach other schools across the district.
The lab is more than just a room filled with technology; it’s a space of possibility, where learners can build the digital and academic skills they need to thrive in a changing world. We’re proud of this step forward and grateful to all who are walking this journey with us.
